Los Angeles Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani revealed that he quietly tied the knot. It seems that he is trading baseball diamonds for diamond rings. Because previously he made a $700 million contract with the team.

The 29-year-old player shared an Instagram post where he wrote, “Not only have I begun a new chapter in my career with the Dodgers but I also have begun a new life with someone from my Native country of Japan who is very special to me,” He also shared, “I wanted everyone to know I am now married.” Then Shohei continued, “I am excited for what is come. Thank you for your support.”

alongside a pic of his dog Decoy, he shared plans of himself and his wife. He wrote, “We are still young, and [there are] many things we don’t know yet, but we hope you will warmly watch over us,” Then he added, “We hope that the two of us (and one dog) will work together to support each other and move forward alongside with our fans.”

Shohei would be leaving the Los Angeles Angels and going to pitch for the Dodgers. Recently he signed a 10-year, $700 million contract. The deal becomes the most lucrative in decades.

Shohei wrote about the deal on Instagram, “The six years I spent with the Angels will remain etched in my heart forever,” He also wrote, “And to all Dodgers fans, I pledge to always do what’s best for the team and always continue to give it my all to be the best version of myself. Until the last day of my playing career. I want to continue to strive forward not only for the Dodgers but for the baseball world.”

Now the baseball star had gotten married. So, it seems that they both are going to celebrate the success. His wife would like to cheer him on amid his historic career.
